New Book for Fall 2009

There will be a meeting on Thursday, October 29th, for all book club members. The purpose of the meeting will be to decide on the next book and when our next meeting will be. See you there!

Let's finish this book before May 15th------so we can go see the movie after our discussion!! Happy Reading!!

Hold Tight: Next meeting on March 25th

Next Meeting/Book!

We are reading Harlan Coben's "Hold Tight" for the next Book Club meeting. I am predicting a meeting for March 19th. An announcement will confirm this date. This book comes out in paperback, I believe, this weekend coming up. Can't wait to discuss it!

Poetry.......??????

I found a book, called "Poems to Read" by Robert Pinsky, that is very cool. It is an anthology of poems, all collected by various people of all ages! I was thinking, (and Robert, too!) that we could read this book as our next choice-------and the assignment would be to choose 3-4 of your favorite poems. Come prepared to read aloud, and share your interpretations, of your favorite poem................

Next Meeting: Monday Dec. 22nd

Next meeting we will discuss I Love You, Beth Cooper...........in detail. HAHA! Many of you have commented that this book may not be the most meaningful novel to discuss, however, that's why we have also planned our book swap for that day! Please buy a paperback book, (insert the receipt inside the book) WRAP it up, and be prepared to take part in the book swap!!
